2012 GOP Candidate Debates

I’ve been watching the Republican candidate debates for the US 2012 presidential election.

Some of the candidates use the word “truth” to define themselves, their campaigns, even the United States.

BTW, Democrats and Independents do the same.

There is but One who is the truth, speaks the truth, and acts in truth.

That is Yeshua.

There is but one Kingdom in which there is only truth.

That is the eternal Kingdom of Yahweh.

It would be truthful if that people saythat they fall short of His glory!

If any of the candidates are disciples of Christ, it would be truthful if they say what Paul said at Romans 7:21-25:

“So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!”

But then again, everything they say, as is, is right on track according to the will of Yahweh for creation!

Recurring New Year’s Resolution: Run Up the Love Debt!

Romans 13:8

Don’t run up debts, except for the huge debt of love you owe each other.

When you love others, you complete what the law has been after all along.

The law code—don’t sleep with another person’s spouse, don’t take someone’s life, don’t take what isn’t yours, don’t always be wanting what you don’t have, and any other “don’t” you can think of—finally adds up to this:

Love other people as well as you do yourself.

You can’t go wrong when you love others.

When you add up everything in the law code, the sum total is love.”

OSHA: Our Savior Has Arrived

You may have heard about OSHA, the Occupational Safety & Health Administration.

OSHA is a US federal government agency that assures “safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance.”

You may have also heard about YESHUA.

He is “the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.” (Hebrews 9:15)

2 Timothy 1:9-11
“He [Yahweh] has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher.”

9/11: A Different Perspective

After 9/11, I felt the Holy Spirit say to me that the surprise attack on the United States was just like an attack on a baby in its mother’s womb.

The attack on the United States is just like an abortion.

On 9/11, we were secure in our daily lives but were suddenly attacked, even murdered.

So is a baby secure in its mother’s womb until it is attacked, aborted, murdered.

One thing that is different is our response to both.

After 9/11, we made memorials for the victims.

But, we have made no memorials for our aborted children.

Perhaps we can’t, because the pain of what we’ve done, even though we don’t acknowledge it publicly,  is unbearable.

We need Yeshua!

Isaiah 53:1-12

“…  Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all ….

For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.”

Never Say Never

I remember a time, not too long ago, when I was an enemy of Christ, just like the apostle Paul.

And just like Paul, I became a lover of Christ when He revealed himself to me.

So never say never.

Forget “It’s not over ’til the fat lady sings.”

The truth is “GOD made everything with a place and purpose; even the wicked are included—but for judgment.” (Proverbs 16:4)

The Straitened and Compressed Few

Matthew 7:13-14
Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and spacious and broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are those who are entering through it. But the gate is narrow (contracted by pressure) and the way is straitened and compressed that leads away to life, and few are those who find it.

Yahweh seems to do things the opposite of humans.

The scripture above is an example.

Entering through a narrow gate to be contracted by pressure & compressed sounds painful!

There would not be much company, only a few.

Yet, this is the way to life.

On the contrary, entering through the wide gate sounds much more appealing, easy.

Lots of company.

Yet, this is the way to destruction.

Get Stimulated!

1 Peter 3:1
“Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking.”

There is so much in the world that stimulates us.

We want to be stimulated.

There is enjoyment in it.

God knows this.

He created us this way.

He has provided His Word to stimulate us to wholesome thinking.

Deliverance from Wretchedness

We like to quote the apostle Paul at Romans 7:24 where he says:

“What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?”

But, that’s not the end of the revelation.

He goes on to say at Romans 7:25 “Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!”

Deliverance from our wretchedness.

Now that’s worth repeating!

Tithing Like the Woman at Zarephath

Citizens of worldly kingdoms give financial support to the political candidates they believe in even though their governments will fall. (Psalm 46:6)

Citizens of the Kingdom of Yahweh should give to God, because we believe in Him and His kingdom is eternal. (Psalm 102:12)

Citizens of the Kingdom of God, consider the woman at Zarephath.

1 King 17:13-16
Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son.  For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD sends rain on the land.’”

She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family.  For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the LORD spoken by Elijah.

Regular Made Holy

Matthew 4:17-19 (MSG)
Walking along the beach of Lake Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers: Simon (later called Peter) and Andrew. They were fishing, throwing their nets into the lake. It was their regular work.

Jesus said to them, “Come with me. I’ll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I’ll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass.” They didn’t ask questions, but simply dropped their nets and followed.

Many Christians don’t know what it is the Lord wants them to do beyond going to church every Sunday.

Consider the scriptures above.

To me, Jesus is saying that whatever your job is, whatever you’ve been taught in or learned in the world, whatever talents or skills He’s given you,  if you come follow him, he will teach you how to use that very thing for the Kingdom of God.

If your regular work is to sweep floors at work and you come to Jesus, he will show you how to sweep away the trash in people’s lives to draw them to him.

If you are a construction worker and you come to Jesus, he will show you how to build lives to draw people to him.

If you are a bus driver and you come to Jesus, he will show you how to drive along the route of life to pick up people for him.

Anyway, this is why you were created and given these things.

But for years, the devil blinded you to this truth. (2 Corinthians 4:4)

I am a perfect example of this.

Yahweh’s word is truth!

Psalm 119:160 (AMP)
The sum of Your word is truth [the total of the full meaning of all Your individual precepts]; and every one of Your righteous decrees endures forever.
